They found this facility to be an excellent fit for a polling place for the town. Jacobs reported that he and Beauchamp met with Pastor Weeden of the Assembly of God Church. He noted that the law states that the selectmen must approve the polling places, hence his appearance before the board. Due to turnover, size of the crowd, problems with parking (including handicap parking) and flow around voting booths, he and Town Clerk Michelle Beauchamp are proposing a new polling place at one of the churches. Town Moderator Chris Jacobs met with the board to discuss the use of the town hall basement as a polling place for national elections. Pastor Adams of the Milton Assembly of God presented two donations to the town: The Fire Department will receive $500 for the purchase of 4-inch hose and the Recreation Department will receive $500 towards the Arts in the Park Program.
